About the Business
My dream had been to open a children's shop called Mama Jammas, this was a nickname for myself and two friends who loved to lunch so we called ourselves The Mama Jammas (and still do). On reflection I thought the name sounded like a restaurant so the name was dropped but not the ladies lunching.
After the birth of my daughter Grace and my little monkey Zachary, Then being diagnosed and battling Crohn's disease I finally decided to change my career and while out celebrating my 37th birthday with my Husband, the question was asked "what do you want to do" So after 2 large glasses of Sauvignon I declared " I really want a shop".
Our shop opened on 23rd July 2011 in Southgate, N14, London. Ruby blu was the name I'd chosen for my 2nd child but he was born a Zachary Max instead. My concept had changed from a children's shop to a gift shop selling gifts for all.
