About the Business
Liberty Bell is a family-run business. Our first shop opened in Blakemere Craft Centre, Cheshire in 1994. In September 2004, to celebrate our tenth year in business, we moved from Blakemere to our city-centre store in the heart of medieval Chester. The new premises allowed us to expand our extensive gift and fabric collections, as well as offer a selection of products online.
We travel to America regularly to source new and exciting products direct from crafters, many of whom do not supply other UK retailers. As such, in our store you will find unique and unusual treasures to delight and inspire all tastes and age groups.
Our successful workshop programme offers courses in quilting (from beginner through to advanced), lessons in rag doll and figure making, tutorials on how to make unusual handbags, and much else besides, ranging from one-day to two- or three-day sessions. Courses take place in the workshop at the back of the store with sewing machines provided.
