About the Business
It is always difficult to leave young children and go to work, so I've made the decision to work from home and follow the love I have always had for art and craft.
My name is Kate and I live in Newry, Co. Down in Northern Ireland with my husband and 3 lovely children. In my past I was working mostly in office, but till 2010 I was a stay at home mum with 2 gorgeous girls. Well, in fact I still enjoy being a full-time mum, it hasn't changed. However, I added a little extra to my life - the 'Kate's Treasures'. After doing some research, I realised that there was a niche in the market for bespoke, attractive presents with that special 'something' in it and reasonably priced, too. It was a time when my best friend was expecting a baby. I wanted to buy a gift for her to make that special time even more unforgettable. I went shopping and came back with a bag full of baby stuff but they didn't look good in a simple present box. It was just too typical. I wanted something more memorable.
