French Quarter Homewares & Gifts opened its door on May 7th 2005 by owner Lin Heath and her daughters Rebecca and Caitlin. Lin wanted to open an interiors shop stocking items not readily available on the High Street. They are located in a road called Crown Street, just off the High Street, and the road is renowned for its unique, independent shops all stocking well-sourced unusual items as well as providing first class customer service. She now uses over 20 stockists as well as providing a showcase for over 12 local artisans who make beautifully crafted items such as handmade soy wax candles, jewellery, soft furnishings and bespoke pieces of furniture. Although French Quarter is a small boutique style shop, it stocks a huge array of items including furniture, lighting, mirrors, gifts, curtain tiebacks and ceramics. It offers around 8 ranges of french style furniture and dark wood furniture and provides a free local delivery service, too.
