About the Business
Shop owner Pete Blythe came indoors leaving behind his landscape gardening for a somewhat drier career. His vision being to open a High Street shop and web site selling products of beauty, style, a little bit different, things that you can only find in an independent shop. Sourcing products from as close as 100 metres up the road to all around the world has created a shop packed with intrigue, fun and beauty. Lots of products hailing from the past, for example, ceiling clothes airers, oak peg rails, kitchen roller towels and much much more.
With ecology, sustainability and fair trade being subjects close to our hearts at Cornflower and Calico a large percentage of our products fit into some, if not all of these headings, be it a perfect hand made mug from North Devon or a natural jute rug from India we try our best to trace the source of materials and the way they are made.
Visiting the shop is a must.
