About the Business
Coach House Interiors are a family run business founded by Allen James, his wife Daphne, their daughter Tina, her husband Nigel and their daughter Kerry.
Their combined experience in the soft furnishing trade spans over 160 years. Before them, Daphne’s mother was a carpet seamstress for Cavendish House, Cheltenham – training in London during the 1930’s.
During the 1960’s, after both completing a 5-year apprenticeship at Cavendish House – Allen qualifying as a soft furnishing fitter whilst Daphne as a seamstress/upholsteress – they founded their family business.
Their daughter Tina, also a trained seamstress, joined them in 1982, her husband Nigel, a qualified City and Guilds Carpenter, joined them in 1985 and their elder daughter Kerry, who trained in textiles, joined the family business in 2007. The final member of our team is Alex who has been trained by Allen and Nigel.
Inlcuding Herefordshire, Cheltenham, The Cotswolds and London, their work has also taken them to many areas of the British Isles, Europe and The Middle East.
