About the Business
My name is Krista Nicholas, founder of Button Gifts and mum of two, to Charley, seven and Ruby, five. In 2012, after 22 years working in retail management, I followed my dream of setting up my own business, Button Gifts. Being a mother myself, and knowing how many birthday parties my children attend every year, I intially decided to create affordable and handmade children's gifts. I bought canvases, buttons, paint and ribbon and spent my evenings when the children were in bed creating my pictures.
From making children's pictures and canvases, I have branched out further into creating painted and decorated plant pots for the home, ideal as thank you, Christmas and birthday gifts for friends and family. I am only at the start of my business journey and I still have many ideas I want to put into production and I hope to keep on extending Button Gifts' product range.
